On Wednesdays we wear....

T-shirt: Loft Vest: Asos (Similar here and here) Pants: Old Navy Shoes: Steve Madden (Also avail. here and here) Necklace: Y-shaped necklace and long necklace Purse: Saint Laurent Earrings: BaubleBar
PINK! Yes, I know I've said in the past that I rarely wear pink, and I don't. I own like 3 pink clothing pieces and pink is towards the bottom of my list of favorite colors, but some pieces just look cute in pink. These Steve Madden wedges came in different colors but when I first saw them, the pink ones caught my eye! The only items I ever purchase in pink is nail polish and lipstick.

One of my favorite jewelry stores, BaubleBar currently has 30% off site wide with promo code: "xmasinjuly" and trust me you need to take advantage of this sale!

"On Wednesdays we wear pink," is a famous line from almost every girl's favorite movie: Mean Girls. This post is in tribute of that movie and also to the real mean girls. I've recently received some ugly comments or messages from people and although people say "sticks and stones may broke my bones but words may never hurt me," the truth is, words do hurt! People tend to forget that there's someone on the other end of that comment and not some robot. In my eyes perfection is a unicorn - nonexistent. Everyone has their own definition of perfection and most people will never see eye-to-eye. There's a big misconception and just because your favorite may not be pink doesn't mean you can't be girly. You don't have to parade around in a dress 24/7 to be girly; wearing a t-shirt and jeans doesn't mean you don't enjoy getting dolled up. Be who you want, dress how you like and embrace yourself; it doesn't matter what others say. We're all meant to be different and if we all liked the same thing and thought the same way, we'd be boring and robots.

The point of all of this is just remember next time you decide to say or leave an ugly comment to someone, remember that your opinion can be expressed without coming off as rude, mean, or hurtful.

I've also received amazing messages and to those people I want to say thank you; thank you for reading, following along, and just being YOU!

Fringe and Flare

Top: Topshop x Nordstrom (Similar here and here) Jeans: J Brand Heels: Nordstrom Necklace: BaubleBar Purse: Rebecca Minkoff Sunglasses: Illesteva Flash Tattoos: Sofia (Also available here)
Yesterday was National Ice Cream day and if you didn't know this about me, I have a total sweet tooth so i'll take any excuse to eat ice cream. Since Miami's weather has been at least 95 degrees for the past three weeks now, so I'm taking full advantage and wearing only but off-the-shoulder tops. I wasn't kidding when I said I stocked up on these tops at the beginning of the summer. The only struggle with off-the-shoulder tops is that you pair it with a collar type necklace or you can pair it with my favorite fringe necklace, found here. I've worn this necklace here, here, and here; I actually bought it in both colors! These shoes are the new version of the shoes I wore here and I quickly bought them in Taupe to wear all through Fall and Winter because they're on major sale here.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

One of my favorite sales of the year kicked off yesterday for cardmembers - The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! If you don't have a Nordstrom card, you'll be able to access the sale on Friday, July 17th. One of my favorite items is the Clarisonic, I purchased the Mia 2 last anniversary sale and I love it so much I just ordered the Mia 3, which is the bigger one. I spent most of last winter searching for a sleeveless camel-colored waistcoat so I immediately ordered this one, for my Fall vacation. In Miami we unfortunately don't get to experience Fall and we barely cold weather in the winter, so I purchased this pullover, because it'll probably be on heavy rotation this winter. For everyone that is lucky enough to get to dress-up in real winter and fall clothes, I added some of my favorite outerwear pieces from the sale.

Also, If you haven't noticed I'm all for boyfriend jeans, so I also had to get these. It is nearly impossible to wear boots in Miami without feeling like your feet are suffocating so I tend to wear ankle boots/booties so I added a few of my faovrites. Below is a summary of my favorite pieces and no I didn't purchase every single item from this sale....a girl can dream!

Splurge vs. Steal: Fourth of July

I've spent the past 9 years being called the nickname "America" so when it comes to the Fourth of July, I feel like it is my duty to wear the colors of the American Flag: red, white and blue, alll day long. I spent this Fourth of July in Disney World with my family and at night when we went to dinner I quickly changed into a dress covered in stars and paired with red flats. When it comes to Fourth of July I try to buy pieces that I can reuse so it doesn't bother me to splurge a little. I also perfer to wear star-covered pieces because I wear stripes about twice a week so I like some change. The above pieces are all pieces that were or are currently on my wishlist and can all be purchased at Farfetch. They pay be a tad bit on the splurge side but as I said  before they're pieces that you can reuse for years to come. The steal version of this outfit can be found here. I hope everyone had a lovely Fourth of July and enjoyed some great fireworks. Below are some of my favorite Fourth of July pieces and also red, white, and blue pieces.

Fourth of July: Overalls

Top: Asos Overalls: Macy's (Similar herehere, and here) Shoes: Topshop Purse: Kate Spade (Similar herehere, and here)
I love overalls and it is no secret, as seen here and here. I actually plan on wearing overalls this 4th of July when I go off to Disney World. Overalls are so easy, the only thinking that goes into it is, what top and shoes to pair it with. These shoes are a look-a-like pair of the Aquazzura Christy flats at a fraction of the price. They're so comfy and I actually plan on ordering another pair. The beauty about these flats is that they're all the rage right now and can be worn on Fourth of July with shorts or a dress and still not look too overdressed!

Fourth of July: Stars & Red

Dress: Old Navy Necklace: BaubleBar Sneakers: Converse Purse: Rebecca Minkoff
I fell in love with this Old Navy dress over a month ago and I knew instantly that I had to wear it on the Fourth of July. I wasn't sure if I would be pairing this dress with sandals or heels, wishful thinking on my part. My Fourth of July plans changed at the last minute so this dress just make an everyday summer dress but in the spirit of celebrating Fourth of July a little early, I decided to pair this dress with my red converse. The fact that this dress is made of a chambray material only made me love it even more!

If you didn't know since high school I have gone by the nickname of "america" so it's like Fourth of July is my celebration, okay maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but I love to dress up in red, white, and blue or stars and stripes to show how much I love this country.
