When it comes to summers in Miami it isn't as glamorous as the movies or people believe it to be - it's either unbearably hot or nonstop rain. In the middle of the nonstop rain, the skies cleared up and I was able to venture out to the beach and enjoy it for a few hours. We actually didn't stay near the beach for too long but we did hangout near the boardwalk and in the area. This dress is perfect for spending a day near the beach or at brunch because it is so lightweight and it actually didn't make me sweat up a storm like I normally do. If I am being honest this dress makes me feel like a ballerina and all I really want to do was twirl around all day like a 5 year old.

Sailing Away

This outfit would've been a perfect Fourth of July outfit but it's also a perfect summer nautical outfit. I don't know if it was the red, white, and blue, the culottes, or the tassels, but it instantly gave me a complete nautical vibe. I wanted to pair this outfit with these slides but since I was going out to lunch, I decided to pair it with my Chloé scalloped flats for a little bit more of a dressier look. As for these earrings, everyone needs to purchase a pair! The earrings are so lightweight and tassels are huge this season!

Whitney Eve Co-ord

Another day another co-ord set. My love for a matching separates set is never-ending, as seen here and here, so when I saw this piece at Nordstrom I knew I HAD to have it. Also seeing as Whitney Eve Port from The Hills and The City designed it, it was a no-brainer. She was one my favorites since I first saw her on The Hills. 

The thing that I love most about co-ord sets is that they're simple. They're simple in the sense that you don't have to worry about what top or bottom to pair with this clothing piece and you still look put together. This co-ord is a lot more casual than I usually wear but I couldn't resist the lady bugs and the palm print. I've paired these bottoms with a green or white top and a denim jacket. I plan to wear them when running errands or when traveling.

Happy Friday the 13th! For some strange reason I actually find this day quite funny more than anything. I'm not a big believer of superstitions or of bad luck, but one thing I do believe in is in "Casual Fridays." After a long week of early mornings and late nights, come Friday I am dragging myself out of bed and there's no energy to get all dolled up. Naturally I do not turn to sneakers but after a week long of running around in ballet flats, heels or sandals, I like to give my feet a break and wear sneakers. Whoever said casual Fridays consisted of wearing only jeans or joggers and a t-shirt, they lied. You can make dresses casual. When I came across this t-shirt dress at Forever 21, I knew my casual Fridays were changed forever! The fact that this dress is only $13 makes me sad that they don't sell it in other colors because when those hot Miami days come along, this t-shirt dress will help me survive and still look cute.

Valentine's Day Look #4: Hearts & Arrows

This is the final look to my series of Valentine's Day looks. This look is perfect for a night in with a pair of socks, throw on some flats and you can wear it to a picnic, or even a girls night out. Last summer I became obsessed with the Canadian Tuxedo so when I purchased this Madewell top I decided that it would be perfect to pair with some skinny jeans. I plan to wear this top well into Summer and the little heart on the pocket adds a small touch. As for this necklace, I am OBSESSED! I am not exaggerating when I say over 80% off my jewelry collection comes from BaubleBar and they never disappoint. I've owned products for over two years and they still look brand new.

Surviving Fall in Miami

 The past two weeks Miami has finally experienced Fall weather, it has been a solid 50 to 60 degrees, which for us is freezing! The thing about Miami is that in the morning you can be freezing and by noon it is back to 70 degrees and this makes it difficult to decide what to wear in the morning. This poncho has made my mornings a little less stressful when choosing my outfit for the day. This plaid poncho is a bit thicker so it'll keep me warm when Miami mornings are cold and when the afternoon comes along I am able to remove the poncho and enjoy the rest of my day without sweating profusely. Ponchos and capes are huge this season and so is Fall so this poncho allows for you to remain fashionable while still keeping warm.
