Embroidery Blues

Top: Forever 21 Jeans: Zara (Similar herehere, and here) Sandals: Steve Madden (Similar here and here) Purse: Mansur Gavriel Necklaces: Long Y Necklace and coordinate necklace
Spring is finally here and when it comes to getting dressed in the morning, it is one of my favorite seasons. I have a list of items that are my favorite but in my top three is definitely embroidery pieces. All of last summer all I wanted to wear clothing that was either linen or embroidered, and if it combined both, it was perfect. My love for embroidered clothes hasn't changed and I've already started to collect embroidered dresses, tops, clutches, and sandals. There's something about an embroidered piece that reminds me of the Caribbean and being relaxed on vacation. Whenever I wear this embroidery top I get anxious and want to start planning a new vacation where I am hanging out by the beach all day and where my skin actually tans instead of burning.

Menswear Mondays: Khaki + Burgundy

Blazer: Express Shirt: Express Pants: Express Shoes: Macy's (Similar herehere, and here) Tie: The Tie Bar (Similar herehere, and here) Pocketsquare: Macy's Socks: Forever 21
The khaki suit is a traditional color of suits when it comes to men and some people may think it can be a bit boring or think of it as something that's more for business meetings than for personal outings. Today we are showing you that you can wear a khaki suit to more places than just the office. Pairing your khaki suit with colored accessories, like ties and pocket squares will liven up your outfit and make it look less business casual.

Fall and Winter favorites

Dress: Asos Duster: Topshop Boots: Zara (Similar hereherehere, and here) Hat: Asos Clutch: Clare Vivier Bracelets: Black leather bandkissing emojicoffee first, and initial bar
The first official day of Spring is on Friday so I though what better way to say goodbye to the "winter" us Floridans didn't have than to do an outfit of all my winter favorite pieces? Black and camel might just go down as one of my favorite color combinations of all time; there's something so simple yet elegant about a black and camel combination that I just couldn't get enough of. I'll admit I spent a big portion of Autumn searching for the perfect camel blazer (since I can't really use a camel coat here in Miami) but I had to give up and settle for other camel colored pieces, like this dress.

Long coats were all the range this winter but since Miami doesn't really experiment real Winter weather, I turned to long vests and I am kinda sad that I will not be able to wear them until October. My favorite purchase from Fall/Winter is definitely this clutch! Besides the fact that this clutch is leopard print, it goes with almost anything and it has room to fit a bunch of stuff than your typical clutch.

I love seeing pictures of all the beautiful leaves falling during Autumn and the snow covered streets during Winter, but I can't wait to see the streets covered in flowers.

Friday is the first day of Spring but for today's Menswear Monday post we wanted to celebrate Spring's arrival by showing that men can have some Spring fun when getting dressed in their suits. Men can pair their ordinary suit jackets with a pair of chino colored pants to stay in style with the season.

Let's be honest.....

Top: Old Navy Pants: Piperlime Sandals: Brian Atwood (Similar herehere, and here) Purse: 3.1 Phillip Lim Necklace: coordinate necklace and long gem necklace
Is it just me or has this week been one of the longest weeks ever? I woke up Tuesday morning thinking it was Thursday only to quickly have my bubble burst and spent most of yesterday thinking it was Thursday. I don't know if it is the fact that I am still trying to adjust to losing an hour of sleep or just that this week has been one crazy week, but one thing I do know is that I haven't really had the energy to get all dolled up. I've worn different versions of this outfit throughout the week. Chambray tops are a common staple in my wardrobe; yes, I own over five different chambray shirts and I'm always searching for new ones.

Even though this week has been a hectic one, I don't think it is a valid excuse to not look presentable or decent. Years ago I made a promise to myself, that unless it was a life or death emergency, I wouldn't leave my house looking like "a hot mess," in simplest terms. Life is filled with so many unexpected things that you never know who you might run into and you always want to be presentable. Growing up my mom always told me that to always look put together because if not there might be a big chance that I can run into my boss, an enemy, or my possible soulmate. On the days where I can't find time to get dressed up or to put together a thorough outfit, I throw on a pair of jeans or pants and a chambray top. It makes your life so much easier if you have a go-to outfit or a back-up outfit plan. Come next week it is officially Spring so I decided to enjoy my leather pants as much as possible before I put them away until October, but I decided to wear bright colored sandals to add some color to this week and my outfit.

Flower Power

Dress: Asos Flats: ChloĆ© Necklace: Coordinates bar necklace and Opal long necklace
Daylight Savings time has begun so it is unofficially Spring, especially since Miami's weather is officially in the 80s and somedays we are graced with crazy rainstorms. I've moved my boots to the back of my closet and welcomed all of my sandals with open arms. Now that it is officially Spring on March 20th I have started wearing florals and pastels. This Spring and Summer, 70s styled floral print is BIG and this dress embraces both - florals and the 70s. I'm crazy about springtime and florals so I'm beyond excited to wear this dress from now until September.
