Pleated Ways

Dress: Nordstrom Jacket: Zara (Similar here, here, and here) Shoes: Sam Edelman Purse: Saint Laurent Necklace: BaubleBar
I purchased this dress over a month ago with the intention of wearing it on Mother's Day but Boston had other plans for the weather and I was unable to wear it. I love the bright colors and the flowy feel to this dress. The colors and pleats are perfect for Spring and Summer and for those days or nights when the weather is over 90 degrees and you can't stand wearing form fitting clothing. Also the amazing thing about this dress is that it can be paired with a denim jacket like I did here, with a blazer or with a top over it  so that it will look like a whole new outfit. Whenever Summer comes around and I am all about maxi dresses, they make getting dressed so much easier and they keep you cooler throughout the day. This dress is now on MAJOR sale and you should snag one here before it is too late and they also have a top version, which can be purchased here.

Friday Blooms

Top: Asos Jeans: Zara (Similar here and here) Shoes: Shoemint Necklace: BaubleBar Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

During spring I take full advantage of wearing florals, yes and every time I hear it I think of Miranda Priestly saying "florals for spring? Groundbreaking." But the truth is I love florals and if I could I'd wear them all year long. When I came across this blue floral top from ASOS I knew I had to have it because the colors weren't too bright so I wouldn't stand out and it can easily be paired with a pair of jeans for my day-to-day activities. What's your favorite spring trend that you wish you could wear all year long?

COOL-ottes

Top: Asos (Similar here, here, and here) Pants: Zara Heels: Zara (Similar here, here, and here) Necklace: BaubleBar (also avail. here) Purse: Saint Laurent
When it comes to culottes there's a very fine line between cute and mom pants. I've tried on over a dozen different pairs of culottes looking for a pair that didn't look like I had stolen my grandma's pants but thankfully Zara decided to answer my prayers. Last Summer I began the hunt for the perfect pair but I quickly realized  I started too late so this year I became determined to hunt them down early and enjoy them all Summer long. This Spring and Summer wide leg pants are a huge deal and although I may not be 100% crazy about them because I feel like I look a foot smaller than I really am, I feel like culottes is a great medium between wide leg pants and regular pants. Culottes are perfect for those warmer days where you need to wear pants but can't see yourself wearing a pair of jeans.

I wore this outfit to Easter lunch with my family and I couldn't be more comfortable. I plan to wear these with gladiator sandals, a plaid button down and a pair of wedges. Culottes are so fast fashion that I can't see myself paying so much for them because after Summer is over, back into storage they go. Since I plan on scoring my culottes on a major steal. How are you planing to wear your culottes?

Flower Power

Dress: Asos Flats: ChloĆ© Necklace: Coordinates bar necklace and Opal long necklace
Daylight Savings time has begun so it is unofficially Spring, especially since Miami's weather is officially in the 80s and somedays we are graced with crazy rainstorms. I've moved my boots to the back of my closet and welcomed all of my sandals with open arms. Now that it is officially Spring on March 20th I have started wearing florals and pastels. This Spring and Summer, 70s styled floral print is BIG and this dress embraces both - florals and the 70s. I'm crazy about springtime and florals so I'm beyond excited to wear this dress from now until September.
