Buzz Like a Bee

Top: Who What Wear x Target Jacket: Who What Wear x Target Pants: Rachel Roy Boots: Steve Madden Purse: Shopbop Necklace: BaubleBar Sunglasses: The Row

Lately all I want to wear is all black with different pops of colors. Yellow's one of my favorite color but whenever I reach for a yellow item to pair with black, I get hesitant because nobody wants to be dressed like a bumblebee. When I came across this clutch last year when buying items for my trip to Mexico, I knew that I needed to add more yellow to my outfits. This clutch is actually currently up to 25% off.

By the way this leather jacket might just be my favorite item currently in my closet. It's also less than $100.

I'm back!

Jacket: Who What Wear x Target Shirt: Nordstrom Jeans: Rachel Roy Boots: Steve Madden (also avail. here and here) Necklace: BaubleBar Purse: Mansur Gavriel
Yes I know, I haven't posted an outfit in quite some time but I AM BACK! I needed a hiatus and I will explain at a later date but I felt uninspired and needed to clear my mind. I actually wore this outfit on Sunday to celebrate the Superbowl; since I wasn't really rooting for any team I decided to wear my new blue suede moto jacket that was part of the Who What Wear for Target collection. I paired it with my go-to all black look and this shirt is actually a tunic that I own in 3 different colors.

Winter in Miami, I know that's a sentence that you aren't used to hearing, but lately it has been cold in South Florida. By cold I mean the temperature has been in the 40s and 50s and by noon the temperature reaches the 60s.  These fringe boots have been my go-to shoe since October and I'm pretty sure my friends, family, and co-workers are tired of seeing them but they're so comfy. They're currently on sale and I recommend you pick up a pair. Also, let's talk about this necklace! It has easily become my favorite necklace in all of my collection and I wear it about 3 to 4 times a week. Whenever I wear this necklace, I get stopped and a bunch of compliments. The best thing about this necklace is that it doesn't weigh as much as you think it does.

Dressing Like the Boys

Top: Adam Lippes for Target Jeans: Gifted (Similar herehere, and here) Boots: Steve Madden, last year ( LOVE these) Purse: Mansur Gavriel Necklace: Olivia Palermo x BaubleBar Sunglasses: The Row Bracelet: Balenciaga
Menswear? Oh how so many of us think it is so much easier to for a guy to get dressed and some girls will gravitate towards mens-like clothing pieces. Lately I find myself grabbing dark colored, plaid or checkered pieces and wanting to pair it with a pair of boyfriend jeans or boyfriend shorts. Miami doesn't really have much of a fall of winter, except for that 1 week in January, so when the temperatures do drop, I will try to wear as much dark pieces as possible. In the fall and winter time an all black outfit just seems so simple, and black pieces can be paired individually with other popular colored pieces like grey or camel. I am warning you now, that my outfits might become a little more menswear-inspired than usual.

Plaid, checkered, and buffalo will be big this Fall and Winter so when Target released this top as part of their special collection with Adam Lippes, I instantly purchased it because I knew it would become one of my favorite pieces; I can't wait to pair it with a leather or suede skirt. If you haven't noticed by now, I am a sucker for pieces of a special collaboration so when BaubleBar announced that they would be releasing a collection designed by Olivia Palermo I make anxious. This crystal necklace might just be my favorite necklace of all time and I honestly recommend you purchase it before it is too late! It can be paired with anything and it isn't as heavy as it seems. As for my sunglasses, Gilt currently has them on sale for less than $100 and for a pair of The Row sunglasses, that's a complete deal! You can find them here.

That's so Harry Styles of you

Tank Top: Piperlime Plaid Top: Forever 21 Jeans: Nordstrom Booties: Sam Edelman Hat: Asos Purse: Mansur Gavriel Necklace: BaubleBar
Whenever someone asks what inspires me, my response is always "My surroundings." At a young age my mom and grandma always told me to pay attention to the smaller details that are around me and ever since then I have tried my hardest to let my surroundings inspire me. When I am out, especially people watching I look at people's outfits and try to understand the image, feeling or thought that the person is trying to convey. Due to my constant interest in finding out why someone put an outfit together, their favorite piece, or how their feelings are able to be read through their outfit, I try to put together an outfit that shows how I am feeling that day, and if I am not having the best day, I try to make sure my outfit will lift my spirits.

You're probably wondering what the title of this post has to do with my interest in people's minds and trust me they do relate! If you didn't know, I love One Direction and I honestly believe Harry Styles and I share a mind when it comes to putting our outfits together. For example, the leopard coat he wore in the Steal My Girl music video, the glitter boots, and the hats, just to name a few things. Lately, I have had this interest in wearing menswear-like outfits and of course I had to turn to one of my favorite Brits for inspiration for a new menswear like outfit. I call this my Harry Styles outfit because his favorite pieces are: HATS, boots, skinny jeans and sometimes plaid. For some strange reason I find myself overusing the saying  "that's so Harry Styles of you," and sometimes I feel bad for my friends for dealing with my constant Harry Styles outfit pictures but I guess it comes with the title of being my friend.

Don't let your interest be closed off, I allow everyone and everything around me inspire my outfits because sometimes two or three minds are better than one!

When in doubt...

Shirt: American Eagle (Similar here and here) Sweater: Altuzarra for Target  Pants: Loft Sneakers: Steve Madden Earrings: BaubleBar Sunglasses: Tom Ford
Yes, when in doubt wear all black! I try to stay away from wearing all black but when choosing a fall or winter outfit, it is easy to choose an all black ensemble. Wearing all black makes someone look sophisticated, it's an easy choice, and it makes everyone look thinner! An all black outfit can sometimes look dull, so  to give it some life add a pop of color or pair it with white. This past weekend Miami experienced an amazing cold front, a whole 62 degrees Fahrenheit, and my first choice was to go to the park! I am far from a sneaker person but every time I try wear a pair of sneakers I tell myself "just because one is wearing sneakers it doesn't mean you automatically can't wear a decent outfit." Next time you head to a park for a picnic or just to hangout make sure to wear some you'd normally wear with sandals or loafers but pair it with your sneakers.
