Outfit Inspiration: Menswear

On Friday, I blogged about how when I think of Fall and Winter I think of menswear-inspired looks so today I bring you some outfit inspiration. The thing about Miami is that it is impossible to wear leather pants until at least late November so I have to settle for leather shorts. All of these pieces are actually from the Menswear department of Farfetch, except for the heels of course. The thing about shopping in the Mens' department is that almost anything can be turned into a women's outfit. There's a few things that can be considered for either Men or women and that is: a leather jacket, shorts or leather pants, a t-shirt, a "clutch," and pretty much anything that's made out of leather. When it comes to white t-shirts I actually will purchase one from the Men's section if I fall in love with it. The t-shirt I featured above is actually on my wish list and I plan on purchasing in the near future.

As for the leather DSQUARED2 shorts, they can easily be worn as boyfriend shorts and no one will ever know that you scooped this pair of shorts from a Men's section. I'm also beyond OBSESSED with this Balmain military jacket and wish I could add it to my closet. The beauty of Fashion now-a-days is that you can buy something from anywhere, whether it be the women's or the men's section and give it your own little twist and no one will ever question it. I've listed some of my favorite mens pieces from Farfetch below so you too can incorporate some menswear pieces into your daily outfits.

By the way, if you haven't heard about Farfetch, they're an online luxury retailer. Besides the fact that they're from the UK, and I love everything about the UK, they sell all my favorite European designers and they offer free shipping!

Fourth of July: Overalls

Top: Asos Overalls: Macy's (Similar here, here, and here) Shoes: Topshop Purse: Kate Spade (Similar here, here, and here)
I love overalls and it is no secret, as seen here and here. I actually plan on wearing overalls this 4th of July when I go off to Disney World. Overalls are so easy, the only thinking that goes into it is, what top and shoes to pair it with. These shoes are a look-a-like pair of the Aquazzura Christy flats at a fraction of the price. They're so comfy and I actually plan on ordering another pair. The beauty about these flats is that they're all the rage right now and can be worn on Fourth of July with shorts or a dress and still not look too overdressed!

Fourth of July: Stars & Red

Dress: Old Navy Necklace: BaubleBar Sneakers: Converse Purse: Rebecca Minkoff
I fell in love with this Old Navy dress over a month ago and I knew instantly that I had to wear it on the Fourth of July. I wasn't sure if I would be pairing this dress with sandals or heels, wishful thinking on my part. My Fourth of July plans changed at the last minute so this dress just make an everyday summer dress but in the spirit of celebrating Fourth of July a little early, I decided to pair this dress with my red converse. The fact that this dress is made of a chambray material only made me love it even more!

If you didn't know since high school I have gone by the nickname of "america" so it's like Fourth of July is my celebration, okay maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but I love to dress up in red, white, and blue or stars and stripes to show how much I love this country.

Fourth of July Inspiration

For today's post I had a possible Fourth of July outfit but I woke up to a terrible rain storm and we weren't able to shoot any looks on Sunday. Instead I decided to move things around and share some of my favorite clothing items that can worn this Saturday to celebrate America. When getting dressed on the fourth of July, you can wear red, white, and blue colors, or wear a clothing piece with an American flag on it.
Some of my favorite American flag pieces are:

Some of my favorite red, white, and blue pieces are:

You can pretty much wear anything that's red, blue or white and look patriotic so remember this Fourth of July to celebrate our amazing country and our freedom.

Splurge vs. Steal: Memorial Weekend Inspiration

Splurge: Dress | Bathing Suit | Bag | Cover-up | Espadrilles | Sandals
Steal: Dress | Bathing Suit | Bag | Cover-up | Espadrilles | Sandals
This week's Splurge vs. Steal is a little different since this weekend is a long weekend and the unofficial kick-off to Summer. I've decided to make a list of 5 pieces that you can purchase to wear the weekend, and celebrate the arrival of the heat! In Miami, the heat has already graced our presence and a few of these items I have already purchased and some I have already worn. This summer I am all about embroidered pieces, tassels, fruit-printed pieces, nature prints, and of course FLORALS! I've linked a few of my favorite Splurge vs. Steal pieces and as Spring continues to pass us by, I will link more pieces. After all, I LOVE Spring and have so wishlists filled with products waiting to purchase.

Game Day Inspiration

Look #1 // Baseball hat: Fanatics Blazer: Topshop Necklace: BaubleBar Tee: Topshop Purse: Rebecca Minkoff Sneakers: J. Crew Heels: Sam Edelman Flats: Sam Edelman
Look #2 // Hat: Fanatics Dress: Topshop Sandals: Zigi Sneakers: Converse Necklace: BaubleBar
Some of you may not know but I grew up not only watching Soccer but around Baseball. Once every two weeks my cousins and I would attend a Marlins game and it quickly became one of my favorite traditions. This baseball cap is one of my favorites because it is so easy to pair with anything in your closet and you still are supporting your favorite baseball team; plus it is a lot softer compared to your traditional baseball caps and the best part is that it will not give you hat hair. When it comes to purchasing any game day wear, whether it's for me or a friend or family member I always turn to Fanatics because they have everything you need to show your pride. I, of course purchase Game day wear with the Marlins logo because even though they're not the greatest they're still my hometown team and I'll always support them. You can shop the rest of Fanatics baseball caps here.

Dressing for ball games can seem like it is nearly impossible but whenever I have to pick out an outfit for the game I always wear the same outfit: a white tee, a blazer, boyfriend jeans and change up my shoes. Lately I have been obsessed with this Rebecca Minkoff Mini M.A.B. tote and this little cross-body bag is perfect when attending baseball games or watch parties because it is small enough that you will not be bumping into anyone  but you're still able to carry you're wallet, cellphone, keys, and a lipstick. I normally complete my look with a blazer because it makes my outfit look more put together and can be easily worn to a night out after watching the game.

The amazing thing about a baseball cap is that when it is way too hot to wear pants it can be paired with a dress and some gladiator sandals or low-top converses and you're good to go. Below are some of my favorite tees, dresses, boyfriend jeans, and blazers at different price points. What are some of your favorite game day products to wear?
