On Wednesdays we wear....

T-shirt: Loft Vest: Asos (Similar here and here) Pants: Old Navy Shoes: Steve Madden (Also avail. here and here) Necklace: Y-shaped necklace and long necklace Purse: Saint Laurent Earrings: BaubleBar
PINK! Yes, I know I've said in the past that I rarely wear pink, and I don't. I own like 3 pink clothing pieces and pink is towards the bottom of my list of favorite colors, but some pieces just look cute in pink. These Steve Madden wedges came in different colors but when I first saw them, the pink ones caught my eye! The only items I ever purchase in pink is nail polish and lipstick.

One of my favorite jewelry stores, BaubleBar currently has 30% off site wide with promo code: "xmasinjuly" and trust me you need to take advantage of this sale!

"On Wednesdays we wear pink," is a famous line from almost every girl's favorite movie: Mean Girls. This post is in tribute of that movie and also to the real mean girls. I've recently received some ugly comments or messages from people and although people say "sticks and stones may broke my bones but words may never hurt me," the truth is, words do hurt! People tend to forget that there's someone on the other end of that comment and not some robot. In my eyes perfection is a unicorn - nonexistent. Everyone has their own definition of perfection and most people will never see eye-to-eye. There's a big misconception and just because your favorite may not be pink doesn't mean you can't be girly. You don't have to parade around in a dress 24/7 to be girly; wearing a t-shirt and jeans doesn't mean you don't enjoy getting dolled up. Be who you want, dress how you like and embrace yourself; it doesn't matter what others say. We're all meant to be different and if we all liked the same thing and thought the same way, we'd be boring and robots.

The point of all of this is just remember next time you decide to say or leave an ugly comment to someone, remember that your opinion can be expressed without coming off as rude, mean, or hurtful.

I've also received amazing messages and to those people I want to say thank you; thank you for reading, following along, and just being YOU!
